Who We Are
The Lake Mburo Foundation, established in 2018 and registered in Uganda under the number INDR139411158NB, is a well-recognized non-profit organization both within Uganda and globally. We focus on aiding the underprivileged by empowering them towards a life of dignity and quality.
Located in Kiruhura District, the foundation has been actively working in rural Uganda to equip young individuals with essential skills for employment or entrepreneurship and to empower women, thereby fostering community development. Our goal is to structurally improve and increase access to basic social and economic livelihoods of people in marginalized communities.
Our Uniqueness
Our Founders have experienced first-hand the hardships of trying to get a livelihood in rural Uganda, and it is our collective vision that other children, young people and women do not face these hardships. Because we believe that education is key in overcoming poverty, we want to achieve an equitable and sustainable future through education. We continue to provide an on- the-ground presence in rural and remote communities where economic empowerment services are hard to access.

Vision
Lake Mburo Foundation has helped more than 100 families and communities in different parts of Western Uganda over the years.

Over the past years, Lake Mburo Foundation has been working relentlessly to promote programs for the wellbeing of underprivileged people in Uganda. Our bottom-up approach of inclusive development has changed lives of many and has led to sustainable development.
